Ars lunga Piano-Cello duo has been established in 2009, since than the group has performed numerous recitals across Armenia and Iran, participating in such well known festivals as "The Return festifal","National Cello Festival" in Yerevan (Armenia) and "Fajr Festival" in Tehran (Iran).
A number of well known composers wrote pieces dedicated to Duo "Ars Lunga": Hooshyar Khayam (Iran), Suren Zakaryan(Armenia),
Artyom Kokzhaev (Russia), Haig Boyadjian (USA), Jakov Jakoulov (USA).
Main perspective and goals of Ars lunga is to perform and record contemporary music of the world also to present Armenian composers along with modern music of neighboring countries like Iran and Georgia. We belive that music is the only international language which can help nations to understand each other better and feel united in universe.
Energetic appearence on stage, joy of ensemble playing, outstanding performance and absolute dedication makes Duo "Ars Lunga" favorite among all of us who appreciates highly sophisticated forms of music.

Julietta Vardanyan-piano
Ms.Vardanian graduated with honors from Babajanyan College of music in 2002 (class of professor Irina Galustova), and holds a Masters degree with honors from Armenian State Conservatory in 2007 (class of professor Vagharshak Harutyunyan).
Her music background has started in very early ages under guidance of her mother - Gayane Rafaelyan, a very well known cello teacher in Armenia who trained a sufficient amount young gifted cellists throughout Armenia. She has been actively performing with various chamber encembles.
Since 2005 she has been invited to work in H.Danielyan School of Music and Arts as an official pianist and youth tutor. She often performs in series of chamber music recitals in Armenia and abroad.
In 2009 Ms.Vardanyan has been invited to participate in 2nd Armenian International Cello Festival and in "Return" State Festival in Yerevan to perform newly written chamber works of Bulgarian composers.
Since 2009 Ms. Vardanyan has been performing with cellist A.Talalyan in Ars lunga piano - cello duo.
In 2010 duo has performed 8 recitals in Iran and recorded music by modern Iranian composers.
Presently Ms. Vardanyan is actively involved in a number of chamber music recital projects for 2010 with Chamber music society in Yerevan and National Gallery music series.
Aram Talalyan, cellist, conductor
In Armenia he graduated "Tchaikovsky" College of Music in studio of Armen Mesropyan, in the U.S.A. he received Master's degree in music and Artist diploma at the Yale University class of Aldo Pariso. Prize-winner of numerous competitions: Markneukirchen International Competition (1986, Germany), All-Soviet Union Cello Competition (1988), A.Khachaturian competition (1990, New York), Yale University Competition (1993, USA). From 1995 till 1997 was Principal Cellist at New West Symphony Orchestra. In the period of 1995-1997 was a founding member of the Madison Festival of Music in Wisconsin (USA) and a frequent guest artist in music festivals such as Alaska's Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival (USA), Pharos music festival in Cyprus. Cellist of Komitas Quartet from 2000 to 2009. Toured over 30 countries of the world with the quartet, as a soloist, with orchestras and international music groups. He is artistic director and conductor of Naregatsi chamber orchestra (Yerevan,Armenia).
Mr. Talalyan is a founder and Artistic director of Yerevan Baroque festival and Cello festival in Armenia. He has collaborated with such a distinguished artists like Claude Frank, Yo Yo Ma, Guenter Herbig, Andre Previn, Levon Chilingirian, Chrisopher Stembridge. Aram Talalyan actively performes Armenian contemporary music, for over 2 decades numerous composers create and dedicate pieces for Aram Talalyan.
